Lucien Wurmser : Le dernier impressionniste
On the 9th of June 1911, at the Salle Gaveau, an anonymous concert, patronized by
the Société Musicale Indépendante took place : the public must identify blindly the composers. The programme included : Sachs, Inghelbrecht, Busser, Ravel, the “interloper” François Couperin and… Lucien Wurmser.
According to Milhaud “The outcomes were absurd !”. Who is that musician, famous
during his lifetime, among other more known composers ? Le dernier impressionniste contains the essential of his work.
