Hommage à Marcelle Meyer
"Suites" depicts the evolution of the French Suite both chronologically and geographically. The French Suite serves as a crucial link between Renaissance dance music and the great classical and romantic sonatas and symphonies. In tribute to Marcelle Meyer, Jean-Paul Pruna chose a 1909 Pleyel, contemporary with this pioneering French pianist, instrumental
in the rediscovery of this repertoire.
