Yoann Tardivel Born in 1982, Yoann Tardivel is presently assistant at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he teaches organ alongside of Bernard Foccroulle. His principal teachers were Michel Bouvard, François Henri Houbart and Olivier Latry. After studying at the Regional Conservatories of Paris and RueilMalmaison, he completed his studies at the National Conservatory in Paris. During his final year he divided his time between Paris and the Royal Conservatory in Copenhagen where he deepened his knowledge of the north German Baroque repertory under the direction of Bine Bryndorf. He completed his training as organist under Jean Ferrard and Bernard Foccroulle at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. In 2008 he was awarded the First Grand Prize in Interpretation at the Xavier Darasse International Competition in Toulouse. On this occasion he was the ‘E.C.H.O. Young Artist of the Year’ for 2009. As soloist, he has already performed in many of the most representative places of the French organ world. He is regularly invited to international festivals in Europe and was one of the few organists to perform in the context of the Klangspuren festival in Innsbruck, entirely devoted to contemporary music. In parallel to his activities as soloist and professor, Yoann Tardivel is moderator and producer on Musiq3, a channel of Radio-Télévision-Belge-Francophone (RTBF).
