Ghislain Leroy
Orgue
Trained at the conservatories of Lille and Rueil-Malmaison, and subsequently at the National Conservatories of Paris and Lyon, Ghislain Leroy studied with François-Henri Houbart, Jean Boyer, Louis Robilliard, François Espinasse, Liesbeth Schlumberger and Jean-François Zygel. Awarded prizes at international competitions in Kotka (Finland) and Lübeck (Germany), at the age of 22 he garnered the Premier grand prix d'interprétation at the International Organ Competition of the City of Paris. Since then he has been the guest at prestigious festivals in France and abroad. He collaborates regularly with various orchestras: the NHK Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductors such as Andrey Boreyko, Charles Dutoit and Tadaaki Otaka. He also had the opportunity of performing with several vocal ensembles, among them Sequenza 9.3 and Aedes. Since 2007 he has formed a duo with trumpeter Romain Leleu. He is titulaire of the Pascal Quoirin organ at Le Touquet and assistant organist at Notre-Dame de la Treille Cathedral in Lille.
